Protecting your profession and supporting ASCTA
AIA will support ASCTA through the payment of referral fees. This financial support will assist ASCTA to improve valuable services that are provided to members. 10% of base premium will be rebated from AIA/IA to ASCTA as a referral fee.
This new insurance partnership between ASCTA and the AIA will be built on trust, transparency and will comprehensively support the insurance needs of the ASCTA Members.
AIA’s Policy for ASCTA Coaches and Swim Schools includes:
- Combined Professional Indemnity, Public and Products Liability in one Policy
- Tailored insurance coverage and advice specific to meet the needs of Swim Coaches, Swim Teachers and Swim Schools
- Improved Cover with less exclusions
- Employee and Volunteer Policies increased from 15 hours to 20 hours of contracting per year with reduced premium
- Sole Trader and Contractor Policies with increased earning capacity from $55,000 to $65 000 per year with reduced premium
- Nil Excesses for Coaches and Teachers
- Significantly lower standard excesses for Swim Schools
- Highly competitive premiums for Swim Schools that can be paid by the month
- Legal Costs and Expenses cover now included to $100,000 per Policy
- Cover and security provided by a global leading and independent insurer
The proposed Professional Indemnity insurance provided is claims made and notified insurance i.e. it only covers claims made against you and notified to the insurers during the period of insurance. However, provided that you give the insurers notice of any circumstances that may give rise to a claim against you immediately you become aware of these facts and during the period of insurance, then this insurance will respond notwithstanding that no claim has actually been made against you during the period of insurance.
Master Policy Notice
For ASCTA Members who are Students, Volunteers, Employees, Sole Traders and Contractors you are participating in a shared Limit amongst all Insured ASCTA members. As this is a Master Policy, the Limit of Indemnity for the Public Liability, Products Liability and Advertising Liability of $ 20,000,000 any one claim and $20,000,000 in the aggregate and the Limit of Indemnity for the Professional Indemnity of $ 10,000,000 any one claim and $10,000,000 in the aggregate are all shared limits by all Insured. This means that if the Limit of Indemnity and any reinstatements of the Limit or extensions are exhausted by Claims against some of the Insured, then there will be no cover remaining.
