Coach Recognition

Male coach

Coaches are recognised and celebrated by ASCTA for their performance and achievements in the pool. The levels of ASCTA coach recognition are Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum.

Coach Education vs. Coach Performance

Swimming Australia no longer base the coach accreditation criteria for Development, Advanced or Performance level coaches on coach/athlete achievement.  This change was implemented in 2019 to allow coaches to progress their education and accreditation level regardless of their location, club size and access to athletes and meets.

In addition to holding a Development, Advanced or Performance accreditation with Swimming Australia, coaches can apply to ASCTA separately to have their coach and athlete achievements recognized.

The levels of coach recognition are Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum and the criteria to achieve these levels are noted on the Coach Recognition Criteria and Application Form

ASCTA issue membership cards with details of the accreditation levels held with Swimming Australia (Development/Advanced/Performance) and the colour of the card is determined by the level of coach recognition held with ASCTA (Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum)

Completed application forms can be emailed to coaching@ascta.com for processing.
