Renewal FAQs

  • I’m having trouble signing in to my Swim Central account. What do I do?
  • Should you experience any difficulties with signing in, using the ‘forgot password’ function or need to change your email address, please email support@ascta.com for assistance.

     

  • I am new to Swim Central. How do I register and create an account?
  • If you are a current member but have not logged into Swim Central before, please visit Swim Central and click on 'Don't have a login? Register for an account' and follow the prompts.

  • I need to change my email address, how do I do this?
  • An ASCTA administrator is required to update email addresses to ensure we transfer your membership and accreditation data to your new Swim ID (email address)

    Please send a written request to change your email address to membership@ascta.com and include your current/old email address as well as the new email address.  Once updated, a member of our team will be in touch to confirm.

  • I tried to Register a Swim Central account but received an error that the account (email address) is already taken.
  • This means there is already an existing Swim Central account linked to that email address. Please use the 'Forgot Password' function to reset the password and gain access to the account.   Please note that each member must use a unique email address to sign in to Swim Central.

  • Can I pay / renew my membership over the phone?
  • Unfortunately we are unable to process renewals over the phone as you are required to electronically agree to the Safe Sport Framework at the time of renewing your Membership online.

    You may however complete a membership form and return this to our office for processing.  Please contact membership@ascta.com to obtain a form.

  • Can I upgrade my membership from General to Premium?
  • Yes, you can upgrade your membership level throughout the membership year by contacting our Membership team on membership@ascta.com

  • Why can’t I add a membership product to my shopping cart or complete my purchase at the checkout?
  • Holding a current Working With Children Check is a requirement of renewing or purchasing a General or Premium membership with ASCTA.

    If your WWCC shows a red cross in the 'My Documents' library, it has expired and you will need to upload a valid document to finalise your membership purchase.

    To upload a valid WWCC document, go to 'My Documents' on the Swim Central menu bar.

    1. Select 'Upload Document' in top right hand corner, then Browse/Choose your file

    2. Document Category = 'Working with Children Checks' from the drop down option

    3. Document Type = Choose appropriate type for your State

    4. Enter WWCC expiry date

    5. Enter the WWCC reference number

    6. Click Upload and return to the ‘Shopping’ section to select your product and finalise your purchase.

     

    If you are teaching overseas, you can purchase 'Associate International' membership without the need to upload a WWCC.

  • Do I need to be Accredited to purchase insurance?
  • Yes, our Swim Insurance Australia insurance policies are only valid when you hold a Swim Australia Teacher or Swimming Australia Coaching Accreditation.

    If you are an AustSwim qualified Teacher, you are welcome to purchase an insurance policy, however you must also purchase an ASCTA Membership product for the insurance to be valid.

  • How do I upload a Working with Children Check?
