Brant Best is the current Coach and Club Development Officer for Swimming Queensland and an ASCTA-recognised Platinum Coach.

Brant was the High Performance Coach at the New South Wales Institute of Sport and the SOPAC Swim Team and guided James Magnussen to the top of the podium at the World Championships in Barcelona in the men’s 100 freestyle in 2013.

James also won two golds at Worlds in 2011 winning individually and relay and was the quickest man in the world for four straight years.
